Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several public record channels, but each answers a different question. The Sheriff and Adult Detention Center hold county booking material. Court clerks preserve filed charges and dispositions. Texas DPS maintains the statewide CCH and public conviction product, while TDCJ and the state registry publish separate custody and registration information. We arrange the verified contacts, fees, portals, and request steps by custodian.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits mean:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expunction petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that a listed phone number, fee, or address has not changed
Only the issuing Sheriff, court clerk, or Texas DPS can supply its official criminal record. The document must come from that government custodian.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They operate independently, set their own prices, and control their results. A paid signup may generate a referral fee that supports free access to this reference. We do not control those services or their charges.
